The Miami-Dade County Police Off-Duty Web Application has been implemented. New temporary customers are able to apply for a permit and process credit card payments as necessary.
New permanent customers are able to apply for a permit, and current permanent customers are able to setup their online access to process payments for their account.

Who Needs a Permit
Film Permits are generally required throughout Miami-Dade County and each of its municipalities for commercial film, video or still photo shoots that are conducted on public property; that is, on roads and streets, sidewalks, or in parks, beaches or public buildings.
Additionally, some municipalities - Coral Gables, Key Biscayne, Miami-Beach - may require a filming permit for shoots that are conducted on residential property within their jurisdictions.
A Film Permit is not required for individuals filming or video taping only for their own personal or private use, for employees of print or electronic news media when filming on-going news events.

The Miami-Dade Office of Film and Entertainment is a full service film commission, providing government liaison, location and logistics assistance, multi-jurisdiction permitting, production information and referral and virtually anything else you'll need. Our goal is to make your production as easy as it can possibly be!
We offer one-stop permitting for all County facilities and properties, as well as for 25 of our local municipalities. Permits cost $100.00 per each 28 production days. We do require a minimum of 24 hour notice for permits - a certificate of insurance additionally insuring Miami-Dade County, or the appropriate municipality, for $1 million of liability - specific information on locations, dates and times - budget information - any other special arrangements.
